Valley RC Flyers are holding a Model Aircraft Display and Swap Shop at the Moorhead Center Mall this weekend, Saturday, December 10th, from 10 am till 5pm.

Learning some new editing tricks at Bob Christianson and Gary Ferguson’s expense.

For those who are curious the guys are all flying an EPP foam flyer. Kurt McClain put them together from components from Hobby King and a design that he has had around for the last three years. All up and ready to fly is fairly inexpensive and these things are a blast to fly. They are just as good as having a simulator. I defy you to wreck these puppies with regular flying. We have had countless mid-airs, ground smacks tangles with the walls and even the basket ball hoops. No damage. None. And as you can see, and Leroy and Wayne will attest to, they fly great. Even Bob, who hasn’t flown a lot of airplanes, was an ace with this with in a flight or two.

We are flying in Hawley again on the 4th of Dec from 3pm-5pm. Cost is $3/person. Feel free to bring what every you want for indoor flying, helis or planes. It is a great time, come and join in the fun!

Well, another fun fly in the books. For those who came out the weather was perfect, the food was great, and the flying was spectacular. Turnout was a little on the low side. Not bad since we had to reschedule the event on the same weekend as the Fargo Airsho. I was able to snap some photos and take a little video and put it all together for every one to see. Hope you all enjoy!
